Irish Weekend – What to do

If you’ll be visiting North Wildwood during the Irish Weekend Fall Festival, you may be wondering what else is going on. Have no fear — North Wildwood is full of fun things to do all year round.

    1. The beach.
Beaches in the Wildwoods (Wildwood, North Wildwood, and Wildwood Crest) are free. No badges required.
    2. The boardwalk.
Smaller and a little less wild than Wildwood’s famous boardwalk, you’ll still find games, concessions, gifts, mini golf, and more.
    3. Family entertainment.
The town and beach are home to plenty of kid-friendly activities.
    4. Fishing.
More than a hundred boats launch daily for fishing and sightseeing. You can also try your hand at surf fishing!
    5. Other watersports.
Rent a boat, jet ski, or raft for a day of fun in the water!
    6. The Hereford Inlet Lighthouse.
You can visit the lighthouse museum and the award-winning butterfly gardens.
    7. Fine dining.
You’ll find several five-star seafood and Italian restaurants throughout the Wildwoods.
    8. Architecture.
North Wildwood is a great place to get a look at the 1950s Doo Wop style of architecture.
    9. Lose your marbles… or find them!
The George F. Boyer useum is home to the Marbles Hall of Fame.

North Wildwood shares a five mile stretch of island with Wildwood Crest and Wildwood — between the three, you’ll find plenty of things to occupy yourself during Irish Festival Weekend! But if you care to venture farther, the Jersey Shore has lots to offer from entertainment to dining to gambling and more.
