Jersey Shore Fireworks Lighting Up the Beach This 4th of July

As one of the original 13 colonies, New Jersey has a deep connection to the celebration of Independence Day. It makes sense, then, that NJ has plenty of patriotic festivities in the beginning of July. A staple on the night of July 4th, there are plenty of fireworks shows on the Jersey shore during the last week of June and the first week of July. Read on to discover where and when your family can watch Jersey shore fireworks on the 4th of July on the Jersey shore (take place on July 4th unless otherwise specified):

 

Montville Independence Day Celebration

This event takes place over three days (June 30th to July 2nd) and includes amusement park rides, hot air balloons, plenty to eat, and a parade and fireworks set to music on the 2nd.

Randolph Freedom Festival

Essentially the same event at the same time as in Montville, but with crafts and live music.

Fireworks Spectacular

A fantastic fireworks show in Montgomery on June 30th.

Atlantic Highlands Fireworks

These will occur on July 1st in the harbor during the Fireman’s Fair.

Raritan Bay Fireworks Show

Three municipalities come together on Raritan Bay on July 1st for fireworks and a festival. This year’s theme is “Celebrate our Stars & Stripes.”

Carteret Independence Day Festival

On July 1st, Carteret will host musical performances from the high school band and Party of Five as well as great food, fun rides, and, of course, a fireworks show.

Independence Day Fireworks & Concert

Hamilton will hold a concert and fireworks show on July 1st.

Medford Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Display

In Medford, children will play, musicians like No Commitment will perform, food will be eaten, and fireworks will light up the sky on July 1st, all for free.

Six Flags July 4th Weekend Fest

From July 2nd to the 4th, Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ will, along with the usual amusement park rides, games, and food, provide a live concert and a fireworks show every night.

Sayreville Independence Day Celebration

On July 2nd, the community will provide rides and games for kids, food vendors, a hot dog eating contest, pony rides, and fireworks, all for free.

East Windsor Independence Day Celebration

Music and fireworks will take place in the township on July 2nd.

4th of July at Tenafly High School

Despite the event name, the fireworks will happen on July 2nd

Bradley Beach Fireworks

This show will take place on the beachfront on July 3rd.

Woodbridge Township Fireworks

This fireworks show on July 3rd will feature live music from AM Gold.

Haddonfield Fireworks

On July 3rd, fireworks will light up the sky behind the High School Field.

Highland Park Fireworks

You can get a full meal complete with a sweet treat from food vendors and listen to live music on July 3rd. There will also be kids’ games and fireworks to end the evening.

Mount Holly’s Independence Day Celebration

This July 3rd event will indluce kids’ games, food vendors, light-up hula hoops, and a beer tent. Live music including a performance by Danya Fisher will precede the fireworks.

Trenton Thunder Post-Game Fireworks

If you’re looking to celebrate Independence Day by watching America’s pastime, you can catch watch fireworks complete with patriotic music after the minor league baseball team’s July 3rd game.

Independence Day Fireworks Festival

This family event at the Valenzano Winery in Shamong, NJ, includes a concert, kids’ games, food, wine tastings, and fireworks on July 3rd.

Brookdale Park Free Summer Music & Fireworks

A free concert followed by fireworks with a special tribute to Neil Diamond on July 3rd.

Lakehurst Independence Day Celebration

The fireworks will begin at dusk at Lakehurst Elementary School on July 3rd.

Flemington-Raritan Fireworks

On July 3rd, the Parks and Recreation Committee will host a DJ and fireworks.

This Seaside Heights fireworks show will take place on the beach on Independence Day.

This July 4th show will take place on the beachfront.

Ridgefield Park 4th of July Celebration

This fireworks show has been going on for more than a century.

Summit 4th of July & Food Truck Festival

The celebration starts with the kids’ Decorated Bicycle Parade, followed by food truck offerings and ending with a fireworks show.

Keansburg Amusement Park

The park will host fireworks from the pier for free.

Collingswood July 4th Celebration

The Party Wave Band will play pop favorites and patriotic music before and during the free fireworks at the high school stadium.

Union Township 4th of July

The township begins its Independence Day festivities in the morning with a Soapbox derby and ends them with a concert and fireworks in the evening.

State Fair Meadowlands Fireworks

If you visit the state fair, you can ride rides, watch entertainers and a concert, play games, win prizes, and try all kinds of foods. Fireworks will occur on both the 3rd and 4th.

Oceanfest

This huge festival boasts vendors, exhibits, bands, food, and fireworks on the Long Branch Boardwalk on July 4th.

Bridgewater Independence Day Family Festival

You can buy food and imagine colonial life by visiting a Revolutionary War camp before watching fireworks.

Fourth of July Celebration

This evening starts with a kite flying contest and entertainment before fireworks on the Ocean City beach.

A concert featuring Ed Vezinho and the Jim Ward Big Band will kick off a fireworks show on the beach.

River Queen Fireworks Cruise

You can view the Point Pleasant fireworks and eat pizza while cruising on the River Belle, which departs from Bogan’s Basin in Brielle.

Congress Beach Fireworks Extravaganza

Congress Beach will light up the sky with a fantastic fireworks display in Cape May.

Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular

The GWTIDA sponsors this free fireworks show on the beach that can be seen all over the island of Wildwood. It is preceded by the Beach Bacon Fest which includes a beer garden, a concert, and a bourbon tasting.
