First Visit To The Wildwoods

We always go to the Dewey Delaware, but decided to try the world famous Wildwoods for the first time. I called several properties and chose the Waikiki mainly because the person on the phone was so nice and helpful. I also wanted a true Doo-Wop experience, plastic palm trees and all. We were told that if we arrived before official check-in time we could go to our room if it was ready and they were true to their word. We did have the Palm Suite which is probably the fanciest room and was decorated very nicely and exremely comfortable. Peeking into other rooms they all seemed very nice. The motel has a new coat of paint and everything is squeeky clean, the pool was heated and sparkling and the location is right on the beach within walking distance to the boardwalk, yet far enough away to be safe and quiet. I was impressed by the number of people that were return customers, primarily families with three generations enjoying their getaway. There is a restaurant on the top floor and two gas grills on the sundeck for people to use. All in all this is a great place for families to enjoy the pool and beach with a helpful and friendly staff and management.
