form the former reviews i was a little concerned but like any thing in life some just expect to much and ended up this place turned out ok with our group of 4 . the cleaning lady was perfect and very polite so as the front desk the guy was very exceptional as we were here for bike week as i did notice he was very concerned with people's property (ie ) our bikes and other vehicles parked ther he did a lot of keeping a eye on things all the way in to late hours of evening and was right there if we needed anytihng we had bulb out in the room he was asap and when asked if we could have a few extra plastic cups he brought back a handfull . When checking in the room was very clean and smelled fresh and was very sanitary so as being said i feel they did a great job for our 4 day stay. Thank's will return again next year!! (ps) almost forgot to menetion there was a nice barbecue grill ther for use of hotel guests…

Pros: Front desk was very friendly and helpful Location was great. It is one block from the boardwalk There was not a pool but we did have access to the pool across the street They had a fridge and microwave Cons: There was no phone, ironing board, iron, blow dryer The room had horrible decor. Example: All the walls were blue except one that had a beige flower print and was nailed to the wall. There was no maid service. I had stayed there for 4 days my room was never cleaned once. The front desk was polite but was only there a certain time. If they were not there we were supposed to call a specific number in order to contact them (remember there is no phone in our room) They had limited parking spots. The towels we had in our room were ripped. Front desk consisted of only 1 person. The bathroom needs to be updated. The hotel should be updated. I stayed at this hotel because my previous reservation had been canceled. If I had done my research on this hotel I would have never stayed.

Good Times Are Definitely A Tropicana Thing

If you want to have a good time with friends and family tropicana is the place to be! Me and my family were there for 5 nights and it was a blast.the beach and the boardwalk were just a half a block away. 200 feet and your already laying on the beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful. If you want something quiet and nice take a ride to wildwood and stay at the tropicana motel, you'll have a great time.

Prices Went Up This Year-They Should Have Gone Down

We stayed at the tropicana motel last summer with our soccer team for the beach-o-blast soccer tourn. We had registered for the tourn. Late and there wasn't much of a selection of motels left to choose from. The location of the motel was good for the tournament and close to the two ride piers and many places to eat-but that is all that was good about the tropicana. The tropicana is nothing more than an old motel with stained sheets and towels, funny odor to the rooms, no phones, wall unit air conditioners that leak onto the floors and the ice isn't even free. The parking is really tight-once your parked it's very hard to move your car again until you leave. The rooms were like boxes-very tight for a family of 4. It served our purpose at the time-having a place to sleep close to the soccer games- but we are more prepared this year and will be staying at the adventurer inn at the beginning of the crest. I wasn't even going to write a review of the tropicana until i heard that the prices went up to $120 per night! There are many nicer hotels that have oceanviews and full efficiencies in them for just a little more per night. I would only stay at the tropicana if you were stuck with no place else to go. On a good note there were no bugs or mold.

This hotel is a gem in wildwood. The location makes it shine as it is an easy walk to the beach and boardwalk. We stayed for 3 days and did not have any problems. I requested and recieved a non-smoking/quiet room.
