I stayed in this hotel several times only becuase of last minute booking problems. The staff if always very rude and wary. I don't recommend for teens. Probably nicer to families. Has nice location though.

Returned to wildwood for the first time in over 30 years. Took my 65 year old mother, my 85 year old granny and my 3 year old daughter and anxiously awaited the "friendly smile at checkin" from the staff as outlined on their website. Boy, were we mistaken. The staff is beyond rude. They are downright venomous and have no communication skills whatsoever. This should've been clue #1 for us to leave. However, we stayed. And waited patiently for our room to be ready while we chatted with others who had been "patiently" waiting for over 3 hours. Upon arriving to our room, the smell of urine and mold overtook us. We spent 5 minutes in the room while i inspected everything my daughter could possibly touch or become infected by. The bathroom was full of hair and mold, the bedspreads smelled of the unspeakable and weren't washed, and i frantically pulled back the sheets in search of anything crawling that would enjoy taking up residence on my family. Between the smell, the broken refrigerator, the dangling electrical wires, the mold and the murphy bed that was loose and wobbly, i proceeded back to the front desk. My little daughter's feet were jet black from having walked briefly on the soiled carpets, and i had to clean her feet off before exiting. The desk refused to give me a rebate. Flat out told me that they don't refund any money. We had paid over $600 and were now at their mercy to give us another room . . . Which they clearly weren't happy about. The second room was better (the sheets were warm so i know they had just been washed) but otherwise, much the same as the first. All i can say is that it was absolutely dreadful. In addition, keys didn't work, housekeepers smoke while cleaning the rooms, the staff was miserable, the accomodations filthy and unkept, the pool not properly cleaned, the mini golf area a disaster, and the clientele ... Well, i don't even want to go there. Take my advice . . . Stay clear!!!!!

Stay Away!

Let me start by first saying we stayed here for 3 years in a row, and planned on staying here every trip we made to wildwood which is one time each summer. This last visit in july of 2005 we learned that they either switched management or switched owners. That was the downfall of this hotel. First of all the staff is incredibly rude. Imagine this, its 7:30 or 8:00 in the morning, you and your family are still sleeping from a late night on the boardwalk until you are awakened by loud obnoxious housekeepers yelling in spanish from the bottom floor to the top floor. That is beyond rude. On top of that, and this is no exaggeration. They had the same annoying spanish song on repeat very loud playing in the laundry room all day long, which happened to be right next to our room. To top it all off, we had 8 packs of ciggarettes stolen from our suitcase by housekeeping. We know exactly which girl it was. During the first 3 days of our stay there this particular housekeeper was very friendly toward us, she would say hi morning and smile everytime we saw her. After we discovered our ciggarettes were missing, she tried avoiding us and she couldn't look us in the eye when she passed us. We went to the front desk and told them about the incident, and the ladies reply at the desk was "the lady who cleans your room doesn't even smoke" wow! How could you say such a thing to a guest who just paid you over 1,000 to stay at your hotel. No i'm sorry or anything ? Let me just say this hotel was much better when everyone spoke english. Thats all i have to say. Dont stay at this one!
