My husband and I and our 3 kids (2 teens and a toddler) have been staying at the palm crest for the last 4 summers over the 4th of july. We absolutely love everything about this place. You can't beat the location. The owners are absolutely wonderful and friendly. This is not a place to stay if you want to party and be loud all night. That is absolutely not tolerated, which is one of the things that we love due to having children with us. The pool area is great and never really crowded like at some hotels. Everything that you need is within walking distance of this motel. I cannot say enough about this place and I pray that they don't follow the lead of the other hotels around them and tear down to make way for condos. I don't know where we'd stay if that ever happened. I am so glad we found this place!

I Wish They Diden'T Turn Beach Rest Motel Into Condos

In 2005 my mom ,dad ,best friend and i stayed at palm crest.it was bad. There was a big bed for my parents and a tiny twin bed for my best friend and i. Half the time i was falling off the bed and hiting my head on the door stopper.all night out our window we could hear people fighting. Our bathroom was bad too! You would walk in the door and if you were lucky you wouldnt hit the door on the toilet. Our bathtub was nasty! There was peoples hair ,shampoo ,and soap in there still.don't even get me started on the pool. I accidently swallowed some water and i swear to god that the water that was in the pool was salt water. I wish they never turned beach rest motel into condo's. I had stayed at that hotel since august 18 1993. The owners were so nice but at palm crest the owners were mean. Our tv remote didnt work so my best friend and i went to the lobby to get a new one and the owner said "you just got here and you broke the remote all ready"? If beach rest motel was still there i would have definitly stayed there. Never stay at palm crest!!!!
