Visited for a weekend last summer and cannot wait to return. Staff/owners were very helpful and always polite. Recommendations they made for various restaurants and activities were always excellent. Activities at motel itself, pool/bbq/bird show were excellent. Nothing but good remarks for this motel and its owners/staff.

Clean and Convenient

My family just returned from wildwood and we stayed at the le voyageur motel on andrews avenue. This motel was head and shoulders above two others that we had previously stayed at in three previous visits. The rooms -- we had a two room suite -- were very clean. New carpeting, a very clean and completely updated tiled bathroom, and very good bedding were some of the highlights. We were impressed that there were two televisions in the suite -- one in each room -- which worked out great in the morning when the kids wanted to watch the disney channel and we wanted to look at the news. The suite had a wall air conditioning unit, a ceiling fan, a small refrigerator, and a microwave. In addition, the bathroom had a hair dryer, a feature you usually only find at better motels. The pool was very clean and it was heated. A nice feature especially in the morning when temperatures are lower. Dennis and grace, the owners, live on the premises and they were gracious as well as very available. The remaining staff was dedicated -- marie was our housekeeper and she was thorough -- and our room reflected that. Hopefully le voyageur will be around for some time. The current wildwood building boom has townhouses going up all over the place, including directly across the street from the motel as well as next door to it. Some of the seedy places in town need to go, but it would be a shame to lose what is -- unfortunately -- an uncommon feature in the wildwoods: a clean and affordable motel.

A Home Away From Home

Our two day stay was a real experience. Both dennis and grace made sure that although we were on vacation the surroundings were like our home, clean, friendly and there for the asking. Well worth the 3 hour drive.

We recently stayed at le voyageur for 2 nights.we stayed in a 2 room efficiency,me my husband and my 2 kids, 2 & 4. The rooms and the whole surroundings were very neat,as well as the rooms.the owners were very pleasant and courteous. The only problem we encountered was a terribly squeaky bedroom door and an awfully loud air conditioner. All the itmes like I said were very clean, but the majority of the setting is very old. I think if things were updated,it would be much better.

Good Little Hotel

My boyfriend and I have been going to wildwood for the last two years. I am always in charge of picking the hotel, so this year I thought we should stay closer to the boardwalk instead of the crest. After some quick research I chose the le voyaguer for labor day weekend. At first when we pulled up to the hotel I have to admit we were a little uneasy b/c the hotel was so small. But we weren't disappointed. Even though it was a little expensive for a small hotel. The hotel staff was so super friendly and the rooms were nice and clean (a little small, but good enough for a young couple). They even had a free hot dog roast and a dj on that sunday. I would recommend this hotel to people w/families. We are going back to wildwood again, but we are not staying at the le voyaguer: not b/c we weren't pleased, but we try something different each year.

Great Place To Stay

We've stayed at le voyaguer several times and have always been happy with the overall feel of the place. Well kept, fantastically friendly owner/operators (very important), comfortable and affordable. Very clean though furniture is showing its age, everything was great. Good parking too. We had a two room suite, one bedroom with two beds (for each child) and another room with a double bed for us. My only real complaint is nothing that could be changed really and that is that the hotel is further away from the boardwalk then I would have liked. Trekking through the infamously long wildwood beach is bad enough. Still, a great place to stay I wish these guys would take over some other hotels! Family friendly for sure. Oh yes, nice heated (not too hot, just right) pool.
