Castaways Motel-Great for The Price

My husband and I booked a 5 night stay here 2 days before we were to arrive. The person on the phone was very nice and very helpful. When we arrived, the office staff was so courteous and made us feel welcome. We got to the room and it was a nice size and very clean for the very inexpensive price we paid. The maid was very nice and did a great job cleaning and always gave us whatever we needed when we asked. The pool was warm and crystal clear every day we went swimming. We stayed at the front of the hotel and had a nice sundeck right near our room, which I loved. Nice sized balcony and great view of the boardwalk and other hotels. It's right in the center of everything. Great deal if you're looking for something small. We had a great vacation! Definitely recommend.

Great Dance Off

We stayed here while my daughters dance school competed at the local convention center. The rooms were very clean. The location was great to all the parks. Walked everywhere, except convention center.

I stayed at this hotel a few years ago with my husband,my daughter,as well as friend she brought along..this place was nasty..paint was peeling,there was trash in drawers,a condom wrapper to be exact.i had kids with me that were 8 yrs old,so they didnt need to see that.so I told the desk,i didnt want them thinking I left it there..and yes it is a pet friendly hotel,so that means there should be extra care when cleaning..the place smelled horrible...every time I have visited wildwood since then I cringe at that memory..i hope for the sake of other visiters that the place has changed.

Loved The Castaways

My boyfriend & i stayed at the castaways motel last august (2005), a monday thru friday. We came to wildwood from the bronx, with no reservations. Alot of motels were rude to us & had no openings. But at castaways, the guy at the front desk was extremely nice, had rooms open, & suggested places to eat. Here's a list of things we liked, room had awesome air-conditioning. The pool was extremely clean. The location of the castaways is perfect! Just a short walk to the beach/boardwalk, which made the trip wonderful!! The rates were very affordable, & we decided to stay an extra night. If you go to wildwood, you have to eat breakfast only at uncle bill's pancake house. They don't stay open past like 1:00 or 2:00 in the afternoon, but the other places we tried stunk! While on the boardwalk, you have to try the caramel apples & fudge at laura's fudge shop! You'll be craving it all winter long, like us. All & all, we had a great vacation & we're planning on going back this summer for a few weekends & we are definitely staying at castaways.

I went there with my son for his high school graduation, I had asked for a room with table and chairs for two nights, when I got there and checked in, the room had no table, no chairs. I went to the office and told them that, they said it's the only room they had and if I didn't want it, I could cancel. I didn't know the area so I checked in. The room was dirty, there was a crowd of loud people. The next morning I asked for a refund so I can go to another hotel and they told me I should have done it yesterday. I told them the room was a dump and I was very unhappy and he said it's just too bad. I went to another hotel that was very nice. I would avoid this place forever.
