Another Great Stay At The Sand Dune!!

My family and I have just returned from our 4 night stay at the sand dune and what can I say, we had a wonderful time at this great motel. We stayed on the 1st floor with a kitchen (105), the room was very clean!! The bathroom had those little extra touches, the shower gel and all and those cute towel fans. The kitchen was well equipped with your cooking needs. The hard working staff always seemed to be cleaning or checking to make sure things were in order. The kids love the golf course and of course the game room. The heated pool was outstanding especially with the wonderful music that is played poolside. The only thing that could have made this trip better would have been staying longer!! No one in my family wanted to leave!! We already booked 2 trips for next year!!!! We just hope that the condo people don't come take our home away from home away from us!!!

Just wanted to say what excellent choice we made when booked our reservation. The owners were very friendly and the staff as well. The hotel was close to the beach, very clean and well maintained. The rate was very reasonable and would recommend to every one.

Have Been Coming To Wildwood Since I Was A Kid!!

My family and I have been coming to wilwood crest since I was a kid, now I still come with my own family (husband and 2 kids). We came to the sand dune twice this summer. The first time was aug. 19th-22nd, the second just for labor day weekend sept.2nd-5th ( my parents and brother came this time too). I must say we all had a great time. This hotel (sand dune) suits our needs and is close to the beach. It is also very affordable in comparison to a lot of motels that I have stayed at, and since i've been coming since I was a kid, you can only imagine all of the motels i've been to. We like the new owners as well as the staff, they are all so helpful and friendly. I would definately rate the sand dune as excellent!!!

Terrible, Never Return, Worst Family Owned Experience

We stayed there for the first time in aug 2005, and had an immediate family members death suddenly while we were there we were able to stay 4 of the 5 nights as we booked and they refused to accomodate us at all. Refused a refund as it wasnt in their "policy" . It wasnt a matter of the $ $ 107 no real bargain compared to others in the crest, but the principle. No feelings, help, emotion and not a big company owned place a family business a real disappointment, at such a sad, emotional, devastating time. Even questioned whether we were telling he truthhhhhhhhhh. Can you imagine? You;d be a sick person to make up something like that. We even offered documentation. I explained that my brother left 4 children behind who could certainly use the $ more than they could. I mean at one point, even offer another stay in the future, even for the kids, but they didnt and i will never ever return there. Hopefully they will understand when they have to go thru it themselves oneday. I rate them a big zero!!!!!

First Time At Sand Dune

We are a family of 6.......4 children 10 and under. I feel this motel suited us wonderfully for what we were looking for. We waited til last minute to make our reservations.....in july (for august)but there was an opening for 6 days so we gladly took it. The price was what was advertised on their website.....not jacked up as some motels do..... We chose and efficiency room....we were happy with the cleanliness/location. My husband and i slept on the sleeper sofa in the front room and had our children use the two beds in the back room. As another said, the kitchen had most of what we needed though we did bring a griddle and a few pots/utensils for cooking purposes. You arent allowed to hang wet towels/suits over the railings there (signs posted)....so it would have been helpful to bring a dryer rack, as some visitors did. The pool was perfect for our little ones. The baby section is partitioned off.......we never found it ridiculously crowded, and were there in peak season. There were many families with children there as well. It seemed clean enough to me! There is a shower donwstairs for all customers, with an extra sink/toilet. Also a hose/spicket at the pool......this was ultra-helpful having small children.......oh......do want to mention that the pool closes at 7pm. With little ones we arent a family that goes out a lot at night....so for us, it would have been nice to have it open later, as some pools are. However, i'm thinking most people do go out to the boardwalk, etc and possibly this wouldnt be an issue for them.
