Above Average for Jersey Shore (But That'S Not Saying Much)

We recently returned from a stay at the windswept. It's difficult to write a fair review because the windswept is indeed above average for the central jersey shore, but still far from great on any kind of broader scale. Our stay started with a small disappointment that our "oceanview" room was really a "parking lot view" room, with a glimpse of the beach if you stood in a particular spot on the small balcony and sort of craned your neck around to the side. Make sure if you want a real view to book the "oceanfront" rooms, which are the same price but seem to go pretty fast. The room itself is clean but very basic. The bedding was fine, and the sparse furniture was decent. They do provide beach passes and towels, but not chairs or umbrellas. The small pool was fine for an afternoon dip, and generally not too crowded. There are no restaurants on site, but the restaurants at the white sands next door were convenient and decent (especially the beachfront lido cafe).

The motel was nice and clean, the office staff were very nice. The free passes to beach was great and the free parking was great. The pool area needs some supervision, babies were going in the pool with diapers on, I found that offensive, they should have bathing suits on at all times, we know how babies can be as far as that, I am a mother too. It was hard to relax when you have kids running all over and parents yelling. If the area around the pool was much bigger we wouldn't feel so closed in. Very small. The ralling in the pool was lose and that was dangerous. Not a bad place to stay, but I would try someware else next time.

The windswept provided us with a last minute accomodation that was perfect for us! We were in philly on business and decided to head for the shore afterward. We only stayed one night, but we would definitely return. The price was the best in the area; the room was modern and clean; and the staff was exceptionally helpful in retrieving my husband's wallet that he had forgotten in the room. The room was a nice size: two double beds, comfortable chairs and a table, a newly remodeled bathroom, and a refrigerator. Proximity to the beach, boardwalk, and amusements was important to us since we have two small children. The swimming pool was small but adequate. Overall, this is a pretty good place to stay and the town of point pleasant beach has a lot to offer.

The windswept motel is a magnificent motel. I have been going there every year and it gets better and better. It is a great convenience. The board walk is a few steps away and the beach is just a small view away. It has wonderful restuarants near by and all the staff is awsome. Whoever is reading this and has never been to the windswept, please dont think twice and go! You`ll love it! Thanks, a.n.

It Was An Alright Stay

When we went to the windswept in summer of 2000 it was an alright stay. The rooms weren't that clean. But the people there were overly friendly. The pool was beautiful the water was warm and clean and I enjoyed just being able to walk across the street and be literally on the beach it a very nice hotel for families and couples despite the few minor problems we had with our room but the people when to great heights to help us repair the problem and get our vacation started.
