White Sands Is A Very Nice Hotel!

We stayed at the white sands last weekend for a wedding, and it was great. I was a bit apprehensive after reading a few of the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised with a lovely hotel room and a beautiful banquet room. The wedding by spano's was terrific, couldn't ask for better food and the service was good too. The front desk staff was polite and accommodating, the rooms, as I said, was lovely and the view even better. I highly recommend this hotel and plan on returning in the summer...the resort across the street on the beach looks like a lot of fun! Don't believe everything you read...you will be pleased with the white sands!

Utterly Disgusting

The white sands was disgusting. It was one one the worst places that my family have ever stayed at. The pool was filthy the beach was filthy. It was very overpriced at over $300 plus per night. It was more like a short stay motel than a resort. The staff was rude and obnoxious. The food was decent. The rooms were so undersized and filthy. Please do yourself and your family a big favor, stay somewhere else if you want to have a good vaction

Beautiful, Clean and Wonderful Staff!

My family and i stayed at the white sands during president's week when my children were off from school, great time to go, low prices! We had an excellant time! I'm shocked by these other reviews! My children loved the indoor pool and my husband had a wonderful experience in the gym. Pool indoor was very clean and so was the locker rooms. Our room was spacious two big king beds and very clean. The housekeeping staff was extremely sweet and kind to us. I'm a very picky person when it comes to where we stay and the staff was very accomdating to our needs. We went for a walk on the beach and toured the motel property looking for summer rentals. The motel rooms were all closed for renovations, we spoke with the maintenance man and saw all the work being done. Very well maintained property for being the middle of the winter on the beach. I would and will be staying at the white sands again. My children are looking forward to swimming in the two outdoor pools this summer! Can't wait.

Used To Be Great, Now Just Too Big for There Own Good.

I have stayed at the white sands for probably over 10 years in a row starting in the early 90's. I remember there being the original "mom and pop' style building on the beach and then having bigger rooms above the pool (i stayed in both). It was a smaller hotel and one of the best. Great location, great views, friendly helpful staff and a great price. Being on the ocean and able to walk to the boardwalk were hard things to find and the white sands offered them.

Honeymoon Suites

My new bride and i where given a surprise gift of two nights at this resort by my sister, i can truly say that she wasted $1100 dollars. I will say the staff where very friendly and helpful. When you hear the words honeymoon suite like most people i have visions of warm rooms with flowers, a fuit basket and maybe a bottle of champagne and at over 500 dollars a night i think the white sands could afford it. But alas it was not to be, what we where greeted with was a poor excuse of a room. It was no more than an oversized motel room with furniture that looked like it was picked up at a garage sale, a stereo that most people have in there garage to listen to while fixing the car, and the view , lets not forget the view, fabulous views of both the rear and side parking lot and beyond all dreams a third view of the swimming pool roof. I could go on but it gets me angry everytime i thinkabout how much money my sister spent for such a poor excuse of a room, the owners of the white sands should be ashamed of themselves
