Loved It Here!

We stayed here for new years eve. The price was great and the rooms were terrific. I have been staying in ocean city for over 30 years and found this to be my favorite hotel! Would recommend to anyone. Suites are large and the balconies are awesome and private. Everything was clean and they have a nice pool in the summer. Great location as well.right down the street from the music pier. Awesome time!

Decent for The Money

This place for the money was decent.. They have a pool on the roof , which was cool, its about a 3-4 block walk to the boardwalk and to the beach wich is too crowded on this part of the island.. The terrace is enclosed with cement.. Which I didnt like because I couldnt see out unless I stood up... And the rugs were buckling in the whole place, so it was a little dark, but for the money,, it was pretty decent I guess.

Loved The Biscayne

We have just returned from a 5 day stay at the biscayne & we loved it! The service at this hotel is wonderful & the staff is very attentive to details. We frequently stay at fairfield condos & this rivals those - the biscayne provides you with most necessities like they do (free laundry detergant & fabric sheets, paper towels, stove, frig, cooking utensils,...)- one thing however, I wish that all the rooms had a microwave oven - the deluxe rooms don't have one. But, compared to some of the other hotels we've stayed in in ocean city, this is by far the best especially for families. One thing I do wish they'd fix is to make sure the walls are always spotless - I did see a few minor stains on the walls. But, the bathrooms are spotless; especially the showers. I highly rec!

The Good, Bad and The Ugly
By Anonymous on Tuesday, June 13, 2006

Visitor Review
Ok, let's start with the positives. Clean room, new decor, inside is marriott residence inn quality. Good location. Now the bad, they are not taking care of the hotel. 1. Each room has an electric water heater, so at best you get a 10 minute shower, next divide that by the number of the guests in your room, and it gets ugly.2. Heater on the pool was broken, anyone for a 60 degree f water swim, are you a member of polar bear club. Pool is average at best, no hot tub, kinda boring.3. So you want to take a bath, sorry the stopper in the tub did not work, had to call maintenance to get it fixed, just want you need on a vacation right, helping them repair their hotel? 4. Toilet runs all night, have to shake the handle to stop the noise, you must learn the personality of your room quickly as you will not be staying long, help! 5. Immigrants run the hotel, can you speak a dozen languages from europe you'll need to communicate to the staff. 6. Oven dial was broken, could not tell how hot the oven was and it took forever to warm up.i stayed in room 215. Grand suite. Advertised rates, $144 for weekday night, $160 for weekend. I paid $129 for my weekday night and $144 for the weekend night, this due to all the problems, personally it was not worth a penny over $114. Forgetta about it, find another place to stay!

Long Walk To Beach
By Anonymous on Tuesday, June 13, 2006

Visitor Review
Although the room (suite) was ok, we would not stay here again because it was hard to walk to the beach (carrying chairs, umbrella, beach bags, etc.) Don't be fooled by the address on ocean ave. Road angles away from boardwalk, and it's about 3 blocks, not 1 block like they say. This is not easy in 90 degree heat, carrying all your stuff. After the first day, we found it easier to have my husband drive my kids and me to the boardwalk with all our stuff, then bring the car back to the motel, then walk over by himself. What a pain! Then when we were done, he'd walk back and get the car and pick us up! Not the kind of beach vacation we're used to. I'd recommend staying at port-o-call or beach club on the boardwalk, or even flanders, which is much closer (set back from the boardwalk).
