Wouldn'T Stay Anywhere Else

We have been going to the beach club hotel for the past three years. I am very picky, as i have young children and cleanliness is extremely important. We have never had a problem. The room is decorated as an old-style seashore. Light woods, flower prints - really pretty. Carpeting is newer and has never been a problem. Bathrooms are clean and modernized - large vanity area. Rooms come with mini refrigerators and tv with cable. All rooms have a balcony. There is a restaurant on site (our recent stay in july - we had two breakfasts each day, which we could pick up and eat in the room (this was easily shared among the four of us - plenty to eat and enjoyable). The pool is right on the boardwalk - the kids loved it. And we loved not having to walk a block or more from the boardwalk each nite, as it sits right on the boards, but is in it's own individual environment at the same time.we previously stayed at the biscayne suites and watson, but sofa beds are not a vacationers sleep! I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

The Best Hotel In Ocean City!!!

We have been to ocean city 4 times in the past two years and have stayed at 3 different hotels. The beach club was by far the very best. I will never stay anywhere else. I love the fact it is right on the boardwalk. It is very clean, nicely decorated and bright and airy. The restaurant has great food and the people are very nice from the front desk to the restaurant staff. I highly recommend it!!

Nice But Be Careful of Rusty Nails

We just recently stayed there during family week july 5-9, 2004. Let me start by saying the rate was very good for an oceanfront hotel. The staff overall was great. The management left little to be desired, i will explain. The room was large enough to accomadate all the baby gear necessary to bring a 9 month old to the beach. The restaurant food was also very good...even the voucher meal gave you plenty of food each morning. However, we encountered a major problem on day 1! My wife walked out the sliding door, and prior to stepping over the door threshold...she stepped on a rusty nail! The nail was exposed because the carpeting was either torn or too short when originally installed. Her foot landed on four rusty points from the tack board used to hold the carpet in place. We quickly informed management, but the only thing they could do was fix the problem, and then upgrade our room the following day. We took the fix, but denied the upgrade b/c we had already settled in for our 4 night stay. Besides the updgrade was to the second floor with only a partial ocean view. Why move when the problem was already fixed, just to have to deal with the slow elevator each time you took the stroller or wagon out! Upon check-out we requested some form of compensation. Management refused! Nothing for the doctor's visit, the tetanus shot, or for our inconveince. I would recommened this hotel to others, but check your room thoroughly, and don't expect anything in return if something happens to you! The room also smelled musty, but that is expected when your only 300 yards from the big blue pond. A jersey shore hotel at its best i guess. I hope you find this review fair...our room number was 101.

Wonderful Hotel

We just stayed at the beach club for two nights. I was impressed with how clean and well-maintained the hotel is. There was no sand or dirt anywhere. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated, and there was a small frig. The staff was very courteous. We appreciated the free coffee cart in the morning. The location was great for us-we have two small children, and it was so nice that we were so close to the beach and the boardwalk attractions, and did not have to use our car all weekend. I would definitely stay here again. The only, slight, inconvenience was that there was a ramp from the second floor lobby exit (this is, actually, the main level) to the steps leading to the boardwalk. There was no ramp to the boardwalk, however, and we had to lift our stroller up and down.

I have been to the beach club inn twice. It is right onthe boardwalk and convenient to everything. I have felt right at home right away at this hotel and will continue staying here due to the convenience as well as the soothing ambiance. It is quiet if I want quiet and it is also enjoyable seeing families get together there and enjoying themselves. The photos on the walls of families of years past ( way past) is so neat to see how the history of ocean city has brought happiness for so many years and we all keep coming back!

Our family of five just returned from the beach club and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect as it is on the boardwalk but at the tail end of the action so it is quiet. There is a bike/surrey rental place right across the street.the room was spacious enough to easily fit a cot between the double beds which were very comfortable. I'd recommend your own pillows though because the hotel's are hard. The room was very clean and bright. The room was noise proof-we heard nothing on either side of us. A second floor south room provides a nice view of the ocean. We enjoyed the pool and the close proximity to the beach.we had breakfast and lunch at the restaurant which had very good service, good food and a beautiful view of the ocean. I would definitely stay here again!

This was the first time my family stayed at the beach club and we definitely will be back again. The room was very spacious and clean. The location is great steps to the beach and boardwalk. We ate at the restaurant and the staff was very friendly and the food was good. Great place to stay with small kids close to everything.
