Visited mussel beach club late june 04. Had clean two-room suite. Was quiet, right near the beach. We made reservations for a one night stay, getting availability with only 2 weeks notice. Staff was very pleasant, even let us use an umbrella and badges after we checked out at 11am so we could spend time on the beach before we went home. We have a three year old, and the room worked well for us. Biggest perk was that the entire hotel is smoke free- so there is no worry about a room having any smoke residue. First time staying in lbi, so don't have much to compare to other hotels/motels in area. But definitely a possibility for a return visit.

We have visited beach haven many times and have stayed at the mussel baech club at least four times throughout the years in the summer months. Our kids love the fact they can walk to the beach..its just around the corner. It is convenient to all yet far enough from the main part of town during the evening hours. The owners are very attentive and friendly. We highly recommend this place!!!! We are actually visiting and staying this coming weekend for the chowderfest.

Nice Studio Just Steps From The Beach

Excellent small motel strip about 25 yards from the beach. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Rooms are a little out of date, but your time should be spent on the beach, on the deck, or around town. Each room has its own little kitchen and dining area which makes it a whole lot cheaper for those in-between meals or snacks. The surrounding area is pleasant and relaxing with numerous restaurants, bars, mini-golf, and attractions. Highly reccomended.

Don'T Let The Name Sway You

I liked the room in some ways but it should have had room services for the money.the owners are not that friendly but helpful on request.i am not a clean freak but I thought it would have been nice if the owners had offered to clean the room after a day or two.

Don'T Let The Name Fool You

I felt that the name of the establishment is misleading because it is basically a no frills motel, except that there is a separate room with a stove, full size refrigerator, and cooking utensils. However, when you think of a beach club you think of luxury. The noise level from people walking on the floor above us was awful. It was nice being very close to the beach. The room was relatively clean but the towels were old and frayed and they did not provide any shampoo. They should also advertise that they don't offer to clean the room daily, though they did provide clean towels when asked.
