What is Irish Weekend Like? The weekend kicks off on Thursday with a golf tournament at the Avalon Golf Club sponsored by the Cape May County Ancient Order of Hibernians. Your entry fee includes a buffet and drinks, golf fees, a golf cart, a souvenir, and prizes. You can also catch Real Irish Boxing featuring The Harrowgate Boxing Club - Philadelphia, PA vs. The Holy Family Boxing Club - Belfast N. Ireland.Looking for more weekend athletics? Try the 5K run on Saturday. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, look for more than a hundred vendors set up along Olde New Jersey Avenue. You'll find the finest Irish wares, food, and more.
If you're looking for live entertainment, the North Wildwood Fall Irish Festival is the place to go. From early afternoon through the wee hours of the morning, you can enjoy live music, comedy, and more throughout town. Bands, bagpipers, dancers, and more are yours to enjoy on the streets and in the area's pubs. Make time for the Friday night ceili -- a traditional Irish dance party -- at the North Wildwood Recreation Community Center. The final day of the Irish Fall Festival starts with a traditional Catholic Mass at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church on Glenwood and Atlantic Avenues. Catch the Irish Festival Parade afterwards -- the route goes along Surf Avenue. Want more events happening during Irish Weekend? Check our North Wildwood events.
