A Great Find

We spent three nights at the sandpeper beach resort (inn) during spring break. We were told that it was the first week that the refurbished units were open. The 2 bedroom condo was spotless, with a great view of the beach (just across the street), wonderful beds with cushy conforters and fluffy pillows, oversized shower heads in the bathroom, and an efficient little kitchen with all the appliances you might want. We got a great price by booking on expedia. There were still some workmen making the finishing touches before high season, but the reception staff were helpful and efficeint. We plan to go back.

Not Concerned With Guests Comforts

Just returned from the sandpiper and while the accomodations were good, they still had workers painting the pool and pool area and putting up fences. Trucks pulling in and out all day. Noisy nail guns and compressors ruining the sound of the ocean. They also were suppose to have chairs and umbrellas for the beach, so i was told by the person that took our reservation. They didn't. They advised this service would only be available for the memorial day holiday which didn't help us as we left on the friday before. We were told we could use the pool at congress hall, but they, too, were doing extensive work around their pool area. Doesn't sound too relaxing to me....i'm very disappointed as this was suppose to be a quiet r&r get away. While walking up and down the boardwalk (just to get away from the noise and smells) we noticed there wasn't one other hotel doing work on their property (except congress hall which is owned by the same company). I guess the management of the other hotels care about the comfort of their guests by having all the noisy work complete for this busy time of year.

Extremely Clean, Friendly Service, Kid Friendly

My husband, 2 children and myself stayed the first week of june at the sandpiper. The condo was immaculate! Housekeeping was extremely friendly and on top of the cleaning every day - always clean towels, beds fluffed, and turn down service at night. The kitchen is nicely stocked, the only disappointment was the 4 cup coffee maker, a full sized one would fit the fully furnished condo better. We too were told the beach service was currently unavailable, but we could use congress hall's services, which we did and it worked out nicely. We didn't have to carry beach chairs or towels to the beach, the friendly staff set everything up, including the umbrella! Mapquest has this condo located on the bay, it is actually on the corner of grant and beach avenue, a great location..and walking distance to all of historic cape may shops. There is a game room which my kids loved, and a sauna that my husband and i enjoyed. We will definately come back to the sandpiper.
