Postivies and Negatives
By Anonymous on Thursday, June 15, 2006

Visitor Review
I have both negatives and postives on this hotel... The positives are that this is a newly built or remolded hotel..so everything is brand new.. They still have the grand opening sign hanging in the front// the rooms are new..nice tv.. Fridge and microwave...everything is new...The negatives well their are more... Since the family or whomever own this place... They are a very dirty family... And very very unpleasant..the front desk female was the only person who was even some what nice to us.. We spent 5 days there... They need customer service skills!!!!In the lobby the same dirt and whatever was on the floor when we came in is the same when we checked out// all it is needed was a good vaccuum//but you can tell they just didnt care... One day they did not clean our rooms// we complained the next day and all they did was come in and fix up our beds... They just didnt care after the money was paid!!!!

Won'T Be Going Back

Not an very good experience from almost the very beginning. Place looked great as we pulled in, grand opening signs still hanging from the balconies. Begin to wonder when we walked in to register and noticed that was the same room for the continental breakfast, complete with a table for 4. We got our room key and proceeded to check it out. They do have a sign saying that they will not refund your money after 10 minutes, so we decided to check it our before unloading our suitcases. Imagine our surprise when the maid was there cleaning it. We went back to the front desk and she told us that to give the maid about 20 minutes and she would be done. We wondered why she didn't just give us another room, it didn't look as if they were all that busy, only a few other cars in the parking lot.

Basic But Adequate, Great Location

Visitor Review
December 2004 -- the hotel is located within a mile of the freehold mall which has great stores along with a large movie theater. This hotel is very basic. The rooms were kind of old looking however they were fairly large. Decor was almost non-existant. The beds were some of the hardest I have slept on. The amentities were very basic as well. The staff was courteous and friendly.

Didn'T Feel Safe

I would not stay there. Many of the rooms look like they were broken into. The connecting door in the room I was in had crowbar marks on it. The window did not lock either.

Nothing Fancy...

This hotel is closest to six flag great adventure but it has very little to offer. Rooms are neutral and on the old side. There is a closed resturant in the front and confrence halls. Thats about the best of it.

Pleasant Stay
By Anonymous on Tuesday, June 13, 2006

Visitor Review
We were a bit aprehensive to stay at this hotel after we read one scathing review. But since choices in that area were limited we decided to give it a try and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and attentive, the room was large, clean and contained all of the usual amenities. Breakfast was above average consisting of a variety of breads, juices, cereals, fresh fruit and excellent coffee. Our only complaint is that the elevator was one of the slowest we've ever ridden.

Never Again !

Front desk staff was mediocre. Patty(?) Was very rude. The rooms are so outdated...no minifridge in any of the rooms. Tv and radio looked like they were from 1981. There's a deadbolt on the door but it clearly looks unsafe. Anyone can enter the hotel from an unlocked side entrance. If you could stay somewhere else, i'd recommend it.

Digusting, Dirty, and Rude Staff
By Anonymous on Tuesday, June 13, 2006

Visitor Review
The staff in the entire hotel were rude at best. The hotel was filthy. We stayed one night because we had a party to attend locally. The next day, my husband, myself and my child woke up with conjunctivitis. I would avoid this place at all costs!!!!!

The hotel staff was not helpful and did not have knowledge of the area. The hotel was seedy.the rooms were dirty, the ammenities in the room were sparse and ancient. Terrible smell of cigarettes throughout the hallways. Would never stay at this hotel again.

Good Stay, Didn'T Have A Reservation
By Anonymous on Tuesday, June 13, 2006

Visitor Review
I spent one night at freehold gardens hotel on a weekend trip to six flags. Like most small hotels on/near major interstates the place could use an update. I did not have a reservation but the desk staff was friendly and accommodating, much to my surprise. The room was clean and contained all the basics for an overnight stay. It surely isn't the waldorf astoria but it was worth the price. It's the closest hotel to six flags and I would definitely stay there again.

Good Value !!

I stayed st. Patricks day weekend to attend my friends wedding reception. The price was the best in the area and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The mall next door was big bonus when I found I had left my curling iron at home. To our surprise they had an excellent restaurant in the lobby as well. For the price, it was well worth it. The rooms may not compare to the hilton, but if your looking for a clean affordable room and good food, it is well worth the visit.
