A Great Beach Hotel....Great Location and View

We stayed at the atlas for our third time late august/early sept. We enjoy the location of the hotel and the beautiful view of the beach. They also have a great poolside bar where they can deliver lunch from the restaurant. The restaurant is great...food is excellent and the breakfast included with the hotel stay is fantastic. Would love to hear from the person who wrote the room 306 review as we were the next guests in that room and they evacuated us and moved us the a new hotel down the road and told us it was due to a plumbing issue. Love this webiste.

Great Clean Hotel

We visited the atlas for the 4th time late august. Stayed in room 305. We did have a plumbing problem. We woke up and found our bathroom floor flooded and the carpet was soaked all the way out into the living, our bags got wet etc. We were also moved. When they went in to see the problem thru the trap door, they had a pretty big mess. Things break in hotels just like in your own home. I guss though i never thought about it. I am sorry the other guest had a problem with bugs but i can tell you, we had a water on the floor problem. The front desk was gracious, upset because they could not accommodate us at the inn. They treated us fairly giving us our money back. After moving to the other hotel we returned to the atlas and booked for next year. The room we stayed in was still under repair. At least they didn't make us stay or act like it was our fault. They were very kind. The room was clean, fresh and everyone of the staff was nice. Breakfast was awesome! Even after we moved, they let us return for the complimentary breakfast.

Excellent Family Hote

This august will be my 4th consecutive year staying at the atlas. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else for a family vacation in cape may. It is the very best deal for a family room as close to the beach as possible. Its proximity to any cape may attractions makes it practical and convenient. The staff is polite and extremely accomodating. The rooms are certainly modern enough for their purpose, and they sparkle after the cleaning staff are through with them. The beds are comfortable, and if ever we've needed an extra pillow or blanket (or anything else), one request would have the staff acomodate us graciously. The ballpark cafe, which is the hotel's restaurant, provides a filling, made-to-order complimentary breakfast with lots of choices on the menu for all registered guests, as well as a fun, interesting atmosphere for all ages. None-registered patrons are of course welcome there also. The noise level of this hotel is amazingly quiet at night. Never have we heard one peep from any of the surrounding rooms while we were trying to sleep, which is practically unheard of in a hotel, especially when its guests consist largely of children. Since the pool area is not to be utilized after 9 or 10pm, this keeps the noise level from outside down to practically nothing also. Occasionally, a noisy group might pass by the hallway outside the room on their way to or from their own rooms, and that's the only time we've ever heard any noise from inside ours. Arriving early or staying past check-out on our last day is never a problem. We are given a parking permit and are permitted to use the pool area, the indoor and outdoor restaurants, and the pool's bathroom facilities, which also provide showers, making our wait for our room not only bearable, but comfortable. And most of the time, the room is ready well before check-in anyway. I can't think of one negative thing to say about the atlas inn. Any complaint or problem, of which i've never had one, can be reported to the staff and immediately taken care of. I recommend taking advantage of their offer to make next year's tentative reservations at check-out. You need leave no money, and they will reserve your room for the dates of your choice, then send you a postcard a few months in advance of your reservation, offering you a decent window of time to call and leave a deposit before you risk losing that reservation. I do this every year now, and receive my postcard in feb or mar, call in with my credit card info, and am garanteed my room for august. It's yet another of the atlas' fine accomodating features. Highly recommended for families as well as couples.

Clean Rooms, Great Stay

We just got home yesterday from the atlas inn. Wow! What a stay! We had a suite on the oceanfront with cooking. We stayed on the third floor and looked directly out at the ocean. The room was spotless! Our maid, theresa really made us feel welcome and was happy to help us out when we needed an extra towel or two. Ask for her if you can. The front desk greeted us on check in & we even got in our room early with no hassle. The free breakfast is great! We booked for next year because people were booking for 2006 and 2007 for the summer. Can you believe it? What a great place for a family. When we booked, we took 4 rooms so our families could join us. We were speechless on check out when the girl bid us a safe trip and a healthy year. Nice to know that nice people, like those at the atlas exist.

Bugs

My family and I stayed at the atlas inn in august. The hotel seemed a little outdated and a bit of a dissappointment but the real shock came when we returned home and visited our family doctor. The children and I were itching uncontrolably while our stay there but put it off as sand fleas or allergy to laundry detergent but to my surprise the doctor said it was body lice!!!!!!!!! I will be contacting the hotel but wanted to warn others about this. We stayed in room 306.
