Awesome deal but slightly less satisfactory on customer service

I am very satisfied with this hotel except for customer service. Three concerns that I have: 1. The valet wasn't exactly friendly when I said that we were only going to check in. He was friendly at the beginning when he thought we want his service. 2. The check-in took a while, at 11:30pm. I got the keys by 12:30pm. There were only two front desk receptionists, while there was a long queue of people. 3. When we called to order food in-room, the person who answered the phone sounded impatient and was just trying to be patient. When I wasn't able to hear him, I said, "I'm sorry. Could you repeat that please?" Then, he replied to me with a strong and annoyed tone. Do note that we had a water main break Saturday morning. The emergency was sounded through the PA system, and the security personnel were present and ready. I was impressed by this, especially that they have that emergency PA system. In addition, the security personnel was courteous enough to calm down customers and instructed us nicely to go back to our own rooms and not worry about it, eventually.

The hotel/casino was adequate. Better priced than other AC hotel casinos for the holiday weekend. Chairs were stained in 3 rooms of my party's groups, the bathtubs had mildew. Needs improvement. No security to speak of at entrances to the rooms which surprised us.

This was our first time staying here at the Tropicana. It was my fiancee's birthday. Everything from check-in to check-out was on point. The staff was very courteous and helpful and we couldn't beat the price for the stay. We got a free upgrade to a beautiful room with an ocean view..I didn't want to leave...We will definitely be back!!!

I was hopeful that my free night stay would be enjoyable. I even got an upgrade when booking. Well if I had paid for this hotel I would have requested my money back. I am sorry that I wasted my free night for this dirty hotel room. The hotel itself was so beautiful, but the rooms are old and dirty, even if in a non-smoking room u could smell smoke! The buffet on sunday morning was so over priced and the food and service were not good! Over all I would suggest u visit the hotel but dont stay!

There atre so many things to do just in the hotel alone. It's like you are in your own little world that you don't have to leave. From shopping to restaurants to the casino, you really don't have to leave the hotel. The only thing negative I'd have to say is just make sure you ask what tower your room is in. I didn't know where mine was and I walked aroung for a good 15 minutes trying to find my room.

The hotel check-in was available from 4pm which is typical for most hotels. My boyfriend and I tried to check into the hotel at 7 pm that evening. We literally had to stand in line for one hour and ten minutes in order to check in. While the reservation desk has close to 15 terminals, they only had one person working the normal check-ins and two checking in for VIP check-ins. There were a minimum of 50 people in line trying to check in during this time. Many, many people were complaining and several people missed out on their dinner reservations. I have never, ever had this type of terrible service before. I could not believe that they could not make a call and get more personnel to assist with check-ins. Poor, poor service.

We enjoyed our stay, however, we did not enjoy the dirty water that came out of our shower. We had to run the water for an extended amount of time, and nobody came to check on the shower's status. We were quite inconvenienced by this situation.

We've stayed at this Hotel several times and the rooms were always decent, never great but decent. The room they put us in was very cheap and dated. We switched rooms for the first time ever and the second room was one small step up from the first. The rooms were basically what you would expect from a budget lodge or motel 6 type place. The location and the entertainment were great.

I stayed at the tropicana for my birthday with a bunch of friends, and it's definitely a great place to celebrate! the rooms were very large, clean, and new and could easily fit all of our guests and we got a great price! The hotel has so many restaurants, clubs, and bars inside of it we didn't even leave the hotel for the night to go out. It was pretty busy since it was Halloween weekend and we loved that there were a bunch of people on our floor to hang out with at 6am!

This is not somewhere you would ever want to stay. Atlantic City at it's worst. The West tower is a dump. All rooms with a king bed require you take a handicapped room complete with toilet riser and shower with roundabout grip bars and seat. Of course they do not tell you this when you check in for $$$$ a night. The first night Friday we called for security three times in the night for the suite next door which contained no less than 6 men swearing and banging on the walls all night. By 5:00 AM I felt safe enough to go to the General Manger who said he would move us as they were to be there again on Saturday. He told me to come back around 11:00 and he would have us moved. I did exactly that to learn that he had left at 8:00 AM and left no such instructions. Back to square one at 11:00 AM with no sleep. Grab a bench on the boards at least it may be quieter.

Stayed here twice and both times the room was very clean and comfortable. The only minor issue is the location of the hotel on the boardwalk. It's not TOO far but a bit of a walk from the hotel to lets say the mall or outlets. Many cool little stores in the mall and just found out they have an IMAX theater in there too(unfortunately it only had 2 films showing, but still awesome movies). I'd recommend it as a decent place to stay if you are tight on cash.

I must say I was very disappointed when I got to my room. The furniture was very out dated and the carpet was absolutely disgusting. I can't count how many stains were on those carpets. My room was in the Havana Tower. The postitive things is the Tropicana enviroment the casino, bars, restaraunts were great but room was gross. I won't stay again what a disappointment.

This is my third time staying at the tropicana, specifically the havana tower. This hotel has a great deal to offer. The staff is friendly and the lobby area is immaculate. The hotel has an atrium called the quarter which has a spanish flair, with many restaurants and shops. The casino is nice and clean. The room was spacious with a view of the boardwalk and the city. Housekeeping staff quickly brought up extra pillows and towels when requested. Parking was located close to the hotel with a minimal charge. It was great fun! Will continue to stay at this hotel.

The tropicana has literally a million things to do, with dozens of restaurants and stores presenting fun for guests of all ages. Gambling practically becomes secondary to walking around the promenade. The rooms, however, are very basic and no-frills. For the price, they are not representative of a higher-end hotel, and offer little more than a hotel of less than half the price. Face it: here, you're paying to be close to the boardwalk. I'd only recommend this hotel if you want to be close to the action, and have lots of restaurant possibilities under one roof.

Staff are efficient and friendly. The "quarter" which houses an imax theater, stores and restaurants is excellent. However the hotel rooms are deplorable. They are like something out of the 1950's, and are in desperate need of new carpet and paint . My advice: visit the tropcana, but don't stay there.

We were really impressed with how much there was to do at the tropicana...there were plenty of restaurants and shopping. The overall atmosphere was really nice - we liked it more than we expected to. Our room was just a basic room, but it was cute and clean and everything worked as it should, with a 'partial ocean view'. The friendliness of the staff was consistent throughout - the only time we had any difficulty was after checking out and waiting quite awhile for our car. Other than that, we would absolutely, and plan to, return.

I enjoyed my stay considerably. I really enjoy going to vegas and have been disapointed by comparison with other atlantic city casinos because they lacked the many amenities that one becomes accustomed to in las vegas but to my surprise, the tropicana included all of these features such as convient gift shops and sundries and a pleasant festive enviorment that makes one want to spend their entire stay on premises. The quarter was an excellant shoping and dining venue and I found the hotel staff from top to bottom to friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel casino without resrvation to all. I stayed in the north tower which I understand had recently undergone a renovation and it certainly showed because the room was quite comfortable and clean.

It was my second stay @ the tropicana and it was great. Spacious room, luxurious bed. I travelled with my mum and she really didn't want to leave - the room because of it's quality and atlantic city because of the tropicana. The downside of the stay was definitly the checkin-in. We were send from one hotel tower to the second and a third and the staff wasn't helpfull and quite harsh, when we asked for help and directions. A pity.
