Don'T Expect Too Much

If you just need a place to crash then this place is plenty good enough. If you are like me when I go to a.c. I get very little rest/sleep. The place is a little ran down and in need of some rejuvenation. However the service was courteous. The room wasn't ready as promised and had to wait outside the room while the maids cleaned it up from the previous tenant. If you are visiting at a time when rooms are hard to come by and go for gambling then hey this is good enough to shower up and sleep, just do not expect more than a ran-down roadside motel thats all. I just don't get why the owners don't take a little bit of their money and fix it up better????

Very Clean Econo Lodge Beach Block

Four ladies rented two rooms at the econo lodge beach block september 16-19, 2004. The motel is old but was very clean. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We felt very safe. This is a great location right off of the boardwalk across the street from the tropicana. The jitney bus (for traveling around town) stops right in front. For the price, we were very pleased with the accomodations. We also highly recommend the country kitchen (on the boardwalk at the days inn) for breakfast and lunch. Miss alabama won the miss america pageant which made our trip awesome.

Good Enough

Don't expect too much, but its worth it for the price. Clean, good location, cheap. Got what I paid for.i wouldn't take a woman there for a romantic weekend trying to impress her. But if you're just gonna gamble all day then crash there at night it's perfect.

No Problems..

We couldn't afford a casino room, so we took our chances at the econo lodge. Before we arrived, I kept joking about staying at the "roach motel". I expected the worst, but I was pleasantly surprised. This was not the "roach motel". It was nothing fancy, but it was clean enough and we felt safe. It is very close to the boardwalk and to the country kitchen restaurant, where we had an excellant breakfast. The lady at the front desk was friendly, and the parking was convenient.

Not for The High-Rollers, But It Is Passable for Some of Us

A couple buddies and I came upon this hotel as a result of their coupon in the green "traveler's discount" book you can pick up at rest areas. This hotel had a deal: $65 during the month of july, but as with all ac hotels- friday and saturday nights are priced much higher. I was able to get friday night for $85 (ask for the lmid discount), but for saturday the rate nearly tripled- $225 after a $25 aaa discount.

Very Clean and Nice

I have stayed in this hotel before and it was the same clean, nice convient to the casinos. It needs a little concrete work done on the balconies on the second level but over all the rooms are nice and cool and clean. The value was great. I would recommend this location to anyone . I will visit again next year.

Do not stay in this dump! I brought my family here and we had to leave in the middle of the night because it was so dangerous. We had people banging on our door several times (i think looking for a drug deal.) When we called the office for help, we were basically told too bad, there's nothing he could do. When I suggested calling the police, he said they never come. We all felt very unsafe, so we did leave about 2 a.m. Don't stay here if you care about your safety.

Been to ac many times stayed at many hotels there including the holiday inn next door. First off atlantic city itself is "seedy", if you stay in a smaller hotel you are going to feel the grit any where you stay. Friday night ($90)/ sat ($200) you will hear noises outside at any hour but not all the time. Mostly people arguing or slaming there room doors. Yes there are prostitutes on the streets and dirtbags walking around, like I said that is ac. Always has been. Welcome to the east coast. If you want to avoid the grit cacoon yourself in a more expensive hotel with indoor halls and a lobby, not a motel. I would watch my children very closley at any one of these outside ac motels especially at night. But then again why bring children to ac? All of my gambling was done at the tropicana. It takes less then 2 minutes to walk from the trop lobby to your room at the econo, just walk accross the street. As for the rooms they are typical 1 star rooms clean enough to get the job done, shower pressure was pretty good and thats important. Parking is free. If you want better stay next door at the holliday inn.

A Good Stay

On friday, april 21, 2006 my wife and I stayed at this location (room# 103)and had a good stay. There was really nothing wrong with the room. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom looked as if it had been newly renovated and the tv was fine. The carpet looked fairly new, and we did not see any cigarette burns anywhere. There were a couple of estetic flaws around the door such as some protuding wires, but this did not affect the overall use of the room.

Perfect Place To Stay When In Ac To Party
By Anonymous on Tuesday, June 13, 2006

Visitor Review
This is not really that nice of a hotel. It's not the cleanest, the microfridge won't always work, you'll be lucky to get towels, and the coffee stinks. There are --- on the street corner and the parking is tight.but..it's the perfect place to stay if you are down in ac to party and not give a hoot where you crash at the end of the night. It's right next to the tropicana and only a block away from the board walk. Sure, the hotel itself might not be all that nice but when you are in atlantic city to gamble, drink, dance, and party what do you care about the hotel?we've crammed over 6 people in a room at the end of a night and no one has ever said anything. Unless we are splurging for a night of decadence at the borgata this is the only place we'll stay. We've been here a bunch of times and plan on going back again. If you area family looking for some kind of clean hotel to keep your kids at, well, stay the heck away from atlantic city. If you are just down in ac to hang out and have a good time and the only requirement you need for your room is a bed, well, this is the place for you.
