Me and my wife have stayed here many times in our 5 years and have almost always been happy with the service. They have a great continental breakfeast, and they are in a great location if you like to drive into the city. If you have choice privliges that is the only gripe I have with them and there points system for a free night stay. I had over 5,000 points and needed was 6,000 for a free stay but if no activity after period time points expire. So I lost out on 2,000 some points. Don't fall for the stay 10 nights and get one free. It is all a points system. It is a good program thow and some perks... Late check in/ out etc.. The staff is always kind and curtious. Keep up the good work. Haven't been there in awhile. Hope to be back soon.

Nice Hotel

I've been a returning customer to this hotel the past year. It's about 3 miles away from the atlantic city strip, but it's worth it. The prices are very reasonable and the rooms are nice and clean. They even have adjoining rooms if you have more than four people coming, as well as two room suites. In the morning, they usually have free coffee and free bagels, donuts, and continental breakfast included.

Good Hotel, Nice Breakfast, But....

This review is for the comfort inn west hotel, that is west of a.c. off the boardwalk. We went on presidents day weekend 05. Overall we were happy with the hotel. They are near a big lake overlooking the casinos in the distance. Their rooms include deluxe breakfast in the morning, the selection was good. The rooms were spacious and clean, hotel was bigger than I though. Our stay was fun,. But just dont go there with no car or you would have to cab it downtown. Or take a shuttle from the hotel that only runs twice a day.the cons are that all the websites say this hotel is 2 miles from the casinos and boardwalk. I went to check in at the front desk and they told me its around 3 1/2-4miles. They also say they have a heated pool. And they didnt.be careful because the taxis in ac will rip you off. From the hotel to the borgata it cost $18 to get there, resonable being that the hotel was like 15mins away or so. Then coming back they charged us $25, and I noticed he took the long way to get to the hotel. Be careful of these guys because they tend to rip you off.overall this hotel was a good stay, service and breakfast was good, they didnt have a restaraunt in the hotel, you need a car to travel around but with car its around 10mins to go downtown which is not bad because you can see sights and shopping on the way there.

Spacious, Clean, Relatively Quiet Room On Bay

Despite some initial trepidation about the neighborhood (across the road are some creepy-looking, rundown motels), we were very pleased with the comfort inn. The room was large and clean without the dampness and odor of some of the beach-side hotels. Our room was on the 2nd floor of the north wing, close to the lobby's atrium. Except for a little noise from the part of the lobby that doubles as a bar & breakfast area, hotel was very quiet. A/c fan drowned out voices. Bed could have used a little more padding, and the bathroom was tiny (i felt wedged in there every time I showered), but these are all minor. We were up late both nights so didn't get up for breakfast, but I sure smelled it for a couple of hours every morning starting around 6:15. I'm guessing it was due to the location of our room, but the aroma of bacon cooking came right into the room and woke me up both days. Other parts of the hotel may not have experienced this, but if you stay near the lobby, it will help if you can slee.

Decent and Inexpensive

My family and I stayed here on the friday after thanksgiving and thought it was fine, along with being inexpensive ($71 per night including tax with breakfast). The rooms are large and clean; the bathrooms were small but fine. The breakfast is a continental breakfast so there were rolls and cereals along with coffee and juices. If you want the hot breakfast buffet, the cost is $5.95/person, I believe.it took us about 10 minutes to drive to the boardwalk where the casinos are and I believe the motel does have a shuttle to the casinos too.all in all, i'd stay here again.

Unpleasantly Surprised

I guess for the price that we paid for this hotel, we shouldn't have expected much. But there were a few things that really turned me off to this hotel, and next time will spend more money for a better place. The "deluxe" continental breakfast was cereal and toast. Upon walking into our room for the 1st time, there was a lovely used, crusty towel on the back of the bathroom door. I slept on the tv remote by accident b/c it was under the mattress pad. Several people complained about a heater broken, and their keys not working. Towels were not replenished the next day but the crusty towel remained. The location is so-so if you have a car. We took the $12 shuttle to the hilton where we would get $10 back if we returned on it. The return shuttle never showed up and we wound up paying an extra $20 to take a cab. The shuttle isn't affiliated with the hotel but it might as well have been. It's not worth it to stay here.

Stayed Less Than 1/2 Hr

Thinking that we had found the best rate at a "name brand" hotel for the weekend couldn't have been further from the reality. This hotel is old, dirty, rundown, and the staff could use some customer service training. After going to our room, there was a horrible odor that hit us when we opened the door. The bathroom was dirty with hair on the basin. Also, the bed sheets looked as if they were from when the hotel originally opened. We tried switching rooms but found this one even worse. So after about a half an hour we returned to the front desk to ask for a refund even though we didn't have another hotel to stay in. The lady at the front desk got an instant attitude and told us that we couldn't get a refund because when had been in the room too long. I told her that she could check the room and see that it hadn't been used. The front desk clerk went to the room to check and I accompanied her to make sure she saw that no "hanky panky" had taken place. To make a long story short... I got my full refund and gladly went down the street to the holiday inn express and gave them my money for a new, clean, and comfortable room.

There Has To Be Better Accomodations Somewhere....

I chose this hotel because the hotels closer to the boardwalk/casinos are just too expensive on a weekend. The hotel offers a shuttle service to/from the casinos, but I chose to drive as I didn't want to be restricted by a particular departure time. The hotel isn't far from the casinos, but if you drink a little too much it may be wise to hail a cab.The check-in staff was friendly, albeit a bit understaffed. At 4:00 PM the maids were still cleaning the rooms and a few couples appeared to have problems with their key cards. The Desk Manager played it off as a “battery” problem, but I suspect there was more to it.The hotel sort of reminded me of the ones I used to stay at in my younger days – cheap, a little trashed, and a great place to party. The hotel has seen better days for sure. I entered the room and it was Freezing! I understand their effort to conserve energy, but c'mon, I seriously thought a window was open. I turned on the heat and it never quite kicked into high gear, but thankfully I don't like a real hot room. The furniture was very beat-up and while the carpeting didn't look too old, someone got paint or spackle on their shoe and walked all over the room – maybe they thought it would be funny to do something like that. For the most part the room was clean, just worn. The bathroom appeared to be clean until you looked closely at the area surrounding the toilet – mold and rust (more than likely due to the salt air). The toilet took forever to flush; you actually had to stand there with the handle down and wait for the water to completely flush out. Later on I discovered the possible result of the paint/spackle marks on the carpet – the hotel either installed or repaired a sprinkler in the room and whoever did the job did a horrible spackle job. I'm no carpenter, but I do know that gobbing spackle on the wall without smoothing it out is not proper technique.I doubt I'd ever stay in this hotel again unless I was desperate to gamble and I didn't want to pay the exorbitant fees at the casinos, but that's highly unlikely. There appear to be better choices at the Hampton Inn and Quality Inn – I'll be checking out those next.
