"Nice Hotel but Terrible Location"
By Diane of Trenton on Thursday, December 03, 2009

Visitor Review
This hotel is all the way down at the end of the strip. There is nothing around here. I went down to the casino last night and couldn't believe how dead it was. The dealer went on and on about how this hotel is off the main strip so no one comes down here. She also said that there player's club isn't very good so no one makes a special trip to play here. As for the room, very nice. Only problems were the internet is super slow (9 hours to download a movie) especially considering you have to pay extra for it. Also, the bed was very hard. The hotel itself was beautiful.

Excellent Value. Price extremely reasonable. Hotel clean and friendly. Rooms clean. Bring your own pillows!!!! Never have I ever had such a horrible pillow - even in the cheapest of motor lodges. These pillows were so awful they disturbed your sleep greatly. The rest of the trip was a great stay - the Spa was wonderful and Pedicure was superb.

"Needs Improvement"
By Rory of E-town on Wednesday, November 11, 2009

Visitor Review
The actual room was nice and comfortable, but my room keys would not work. I had to make multiple trips back to the front desk to get the service that I felt I deserved. It was not until I demanded that someone else from the hotel accompany me to the room that I finally had keys that worked, and that was after trying four of them. Very frustrating experience and not a good feeling wondering if your keys would work every time you left your room to do something.

"Luxury Needs People Skills"
By Joseph of Bound Brook on Monday, November 09, 2009

The room and all its amenties were excellent. However, the valet carts are only available for the valets. A guest who doesn't wish to use the service must self-carry. Since I was giving three presentations during my stay, I used my mini hand truck as a "valet cart". Also, the fire alarm went off twice during my stay, and no one took the initiative to inform me why it had done so.

"Good Room for the Money"
By Anonymous on Wednesday, October 28, 2009

Visitor Review
The hotel is showing its age. The room was fine, had everything we needed, including a decent size fridge. The air conditioning worked great. The decor & furniture was old. The hair dryer in the bathroom looked like something from the 80's, but overall we got a good rate for a Thur, Fri, Sat night stay. I would recommend for people looking for a clean/pretty well maintained place to stay, a good value.

Second Thoughts On Hilton Hotel
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
We went to atlantic city, nj and stayed in the hilton hotel. Normally, we have nothing but great things to say about this hotel. First of all, we arrived at noon and were told we could not enter our rooms until 4pm. In the past it was 3pm and that was bad enough. They say it is because they need time clean the rooms. Years ago hotels let you in a 12 noon, what happened? The borgata lets you in a noon time. I do not think it has much to do with the cleaning of the rooms unless their staff is lazy. I think they want you to spend time in the casino there waiting for your room or eating in one of their expensive restaurants which never have a line but the only reasonably priced restaurant they have always has a longgggg line. Anyway, we did check in. The room was fine but I do not think the cleaning lady cleaned the bathroom floor or soap dishes in the shower. I know she didn't. If you see caked on soap or dirt, that's proof. I have comp cards for all the hotels I stay in but still have not gotten one from hilton. The line to get the comp card is so long that you would spend to much of your time in line and not on vacation. The line was always there unless it was closed or trying to close in which case they had it blocked. Then we had coupons for the horizons restaurant. That line was incredibly long each and every time we went so we did not get to use out coupon and lost $16. We gave them to people who did not have a coupon. The buffet line was line was very long. I did not want that much food. I should have been able to use the coupon for room service. No lines! I ended up on my last day consuming candy and snack machine food. You cannot use the coupons for the expensive restaurants and I am not paying enormous prices for food. Only the "rich and stupid" do that. The casino was warm. It was very warm in the penny area.....maybe to get the people moving to more expensive machines? I have never been in a casino that was warm before. The bathrooms were dirty and twice I went into the bathrooms that the cleaning people were putting on their make up...no time to clean, though! One complaint i have about hilton and all of atlantic city is that most of the people do not speak english....and when you do not understand them and they do not understand you, they treat you like it is your fault. It is the worst problem atlantic city has besides the slums...the only things i do have to say that is nice.....is the bed was very comfortable. Try the borgata.

Disappointed In Stay
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
This was our first time going to ac. I would not stay at the hilton again the next time we go back. To begin with, the line for the comp cards was very long. After we got our cards, we went up to the room. The room was very clean and neat. The one big problem was the view. We stayed on the 20th floor. On the way up to the room, we thought we would have a wonderful view of the water. We guessed wrong. We were looking directly into the top of the hilton building. (where the hvac unit could have been located). The hotel was sold out so there wasn't another room available. The casino itself wasn't that exciting. Small and not much action going on. Hardly any of the staff spoke english. We also looked forward to using the hot tub. There was a $15 fee to use the hot tub. To make things worse, even if we paid the $15 to use it, there was a his and hers. So if you go with a boyfriend or girlfriend, you won't be able to be in the same hot tub. The food was very over priced. The buffet was almost $20 a person. The food itself wasn't that good either. The comps didn't add up either. Other casinos we went to had much better comps. So, in a nut shell when we go back, we will not be staying at the hilton again.

Place We Like To Stay
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
I love the rooms at the hilton. They are clean. The beds are so comfortable. The gold fixtures in the bathroom are classy. The casino is small but has variety. The restaurants are first class. What I like about the cornucopia buffet is they put out small amounts of food so that it is always cooked fresh and hot. At horizons (open 24 hours) you will wait to get your food. The reason is most everything is cooked to order. I have never had a bad or cold (unless it is suppose to be cold) meal served there. The comps at the hilton are the best in ac. I'm not a big player but at the hilton I feel like one. Comped rooms and meals, cash back and bonus cash, how can you go wrong.

Not Impressed With The Atlantic City Hilton
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
My mom, sister, and I stayed at the atlantic city hilton on thursday, february 16th and friday, february 17th and were not impressed. I've stayed at several hilton's and this place doesn't compare. The room was big, but the bedspreads were dirty to the point that you didn't want to sit on the beds. I called to have a blanket sent to the room and when it arrived it also was dirty. Not what I would expect from a hilton. When we went to the pool the next day, the pool was very cold. So we decided to go to the hot tub and that was broken (heater was broke), yet they charged me $15.00 to use a broken hot tub, no refund was given.

It Used To Be Good

We have stayed a the hilton ac many times before & always enjoyed it, never a problem. I don't know if it is because they are under new ownership, but they are going down hill and definetly do not deserve the 4 stars. When we checked in on sunday there was a line but that is not a problem for us, it was moving & they seemed to have sufficent staff at the front desk. We were helped by a very nice lady who saw we had requested a king, non smoking. She asked if we would take a king smoking & I had said the last time we had the smell was to strong. She asked if we would mind waiting about an hour, she would have a lovely room on the 14th floor with an ocean view for us we said no problem we completly understood it was a very busy weekend.

I have just returned with my wife from a 3 day and 2 night stay at the hilton casino and hotel in atlantic city. We had a great time and much of it was due to the hilton. We stayed on the 18th floor with a frontal ocean view. The room was great. It was clean and recently renovated. The bed was very comfortable. We came here for my boyfriend's 30th birthday. We stayed on the 10th floor and were wowed from the time we valet parked until the time we checked out. Everyone was friendly and the decor was phenominal. The rooms were extremely clean and the view is beautiful whether it was a city view or an ocean view. Our floor was also quiet. We didn't get a chance to experience the dining, but will do so next time. We're not big gamblers, but as far as i'm concerned all the slots look the same at any of the atlantic city casinos. The spa prices were worth it.

Pull Out Beds At The Hilton
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
After staying at many hotels in both atlantic city and las vegas, I was totally disappointed in the fact that the hilton gives guests rooms that have pull out beds that are about 10 to 12 inches from the floor, with one thin mattress and no place to even tuck the sheets, rather than a real bed. The next thing you know, you'll get a room with a sleeping bag, and they will be calling that, deluxe accomodations. A pull-out bed is unacceptable to me, and so, I never ended up staying...just decided to go home, rather than stay in a sub-standard hotel room.

The Room Was Great!
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
We went during the week for a $79 rate and got an oceanfront room on the 16th floor. The room was large, beautiful and sparkling clean. We especially appreciated the large double sinks in the bathroom. The room also had a small refrigerator -- a nice touch. The hilton seems quieter than the other hotels/casinos, maybe because it is situated at the end of the boardwalk and has a relatively small casino. That was fine with us! The only thing we missed was a cozy bar in the casino. The hilton does have one bar, but it is situated outside the casino with large windows looking out on the boardwalk. Its noisy and not particularly inviting.

Reserved a 1 br suite for 3 day getaway with wife and 1 year old baby. Choose hilton becuase of access to their beach. The 1 br suite was huge and much more then we needed. Rooms were clean and modern enough. Beach access terrific and you can buy drinks at their beach bar and bring down to the beach. Everyone friendly. Casino was small but nice. I was more interested in better atmosphere for the baby than casino experience. Hilton is a great choice for relaxed, family and beach centered vacation.

A Nice Getaway
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
We stayed at this hotel for two nights w/our teenage son and had adjoining room w/friends who have two young sons. What we liked: rooms a nice size, indoor pool a real bonus w/kids especially if it rains (you can order room service to the pool, including alcoholic beverages), beach access was great, beach bar very convenient w/good drinks ($$), food just ok, beach chair and umbrella rental was a real treat--nothing to carry--the chairs were very comfy w/substantial umbrella they put in the sand for you :), the tropicana is closeby so we visited the quarter where there are many nice restaurants and shops to choose from. Yes, the hilton is at the end of the strip but we liked that when it came to the beach because it wasn't crowded. At nights we took the kids to the quarter, mini golfing and to ripley's believe it or not. You can take a handsome cab down to the other end of the boardwalk (where ripley's is) for $15. That was enjoyable. What we didn't like: we couldn't check-in till 5pm which is check-in time on weekends--awful. Also, there were lines in the lobby for everything, elevators were slow. We were told it is only this crowded in the summer months. Can't really say much about the casino, it was on the small side and we only gambled a couple of hours. The boardwalk is not the safest place at night and on weekends there are quite a variety of characters, sometimes inappropriate for a child's eyes. Steel pier w/amusement rides was way expensive and very lame. Btw, you can get half-price tickets for the amusements at steel pier's webiste but it takes 7 days to receive them in the mail.

And belive me when it hit 12am I was right at the casion floor, and I got stop twice by two differnt police officer's because I dont look like i'm over 21 but I was, and they both said happy birthday to me and let me be. I gamble until like 4 hours and then went to bed, then the next day we went to the hilton casion and went to the dizzy dophone bar and I had two mixed's drinks on the house. This was my first time going to ac...I went w/ my bf's senior class and we stayed at the hilton for one night only arriving at 7pm so our rooms were beyond ready. I was not sure what to except of the hotel bc the website has very few pic's and information in my opinion, but it was attractive and the rooms were comfortable. I am not a big gambler but I did hit up the slot machines...the casino is small...we walked the boardwalk to go to the tahj mahul which was like an 1/2 hours walk and ate at the hard rock and used there casino which is bigger of course!!! I did not stop in the other hotel casino's but heard the tropicana was nice..i thought the boardwalk would be scary to walk at night but it was well lit and there were police around...we ate breakfast at horizon's and I had the best banana pancakes my bf had something called french combo, pretty expensive!!! Our breakfast came up to $19 and change and it was not a buffet!!!!!!! But overall this hotel is good for a small little gateway no matter what age you are I had a decend time fyi I am 22years old...hope this helps.

A very clean hotel with a staff that is there to help and will go out of their way. The room was very quiet and had a great beach view. My place to stay the next trip to atlantic city.

In Need of Remodeling

Like many of the casino hotels in atlantic city, in need of remodeling. Corporations are not satified with their revenue from the gambling, but try to squeeze every aspect of the hotel, parking, food and rooms. Room was adequate. Ac needed to be turned on and the room could have been cleaner. I observed the cleaning lady washing the glasses in the bathroom sink???

Would Stay Again

I enjoyed everything about this hotel except for the front desk service, we arrived unexpectedly early and we were not able to check in right away. This is understandable but the guy was rude to us and did not do much to help us. So we had to wait for a few hours for our room to be ready. Other than that the hotel was very nice and clean. Casino was nice, and the spa was excellent. The rooms were also very nice and comfortable.

Can'T Beat The Value and Service At This Hotel
By Anonymous on Thursday, June 08, 2006

Visitor Review
I was worried after some of the horrible reviews i've read but after the visit, they were just pessimists. This hotel is not anything near vegas casinos.. But the decor was done in good taste. The carpet on the 5th floor.. Was quite striking.. And not in a good way, it was bright orange and black! The room service was fantastic. The fruit tray we ordered was so huge with ripe and fresh fruit... We saved it in our in room refrigerator for next morning. Bathroom was fabulous too. Jetted tub!!! We spent both nights in the tub eating fruit and drinking champagne.. Very relaxing.. Gaming area wasn't as small as what others said.. We didn't try the spa.. Since my fiancee went to another resort's spa..and we wanted to try the oaks restaurantbut they were closed on mondays so we couldn't.. All in all the service (the registration staff was fantastic! She got our complimentary show tickets for that night and smiled and friendly throughout the check-in. There was a huge line for checking in but I didn't mind. Remember.. This is not las vegas and don't expect that level of service), food, gaming, hospitality...they were all great! Plus hilton had the lowest room rate that weekend.. Can't beat it!! I'd go again in a heartbeat!!!

Very Comfortable Hotel

Hotel accommodations were excellent. Restaurant service was slow, and the food generally was adequate. Hotel personnel were lackluster and sluggish in anticipating customer needs, especially the front desk. Location on the boardwalk was excellent as a start point for touring.

Room Smelled Like Smoke
By Anonymous on Thursday, June 08, 2006

Visitor Review
I liked everything about this hotel and would not hesitate to use it again. The spa was very enjoyable with the massage being the best. The room service was excellent as well. The only problem I had which caused me to check out a day early and move to another hotel was the smell of smoke in the room. I had the choice of smelling the smoke or leaving the ac on all the time and being cold. I didn't feel I should have to smell this in a non smoking room.

I during off season and got a great room for a very reasonable price. The rooms were very nice, clean, and comfortable, as well as the rest of the hotel. It is at the far end of the broadwalk, but the walk was not bad.

Atlantic City Hilton, Don'T Forget Your Rubber Ducky!
By Anonymous on Thursday, June 08, 2006

Visitor Review
The hilton was a nice hotel with the exception of the shower. The shower in my room was more of a bath than a shower, no water pressure for the showerhead nozzle. I could have wasted my vacation by calling hotel maintenance and be inconvenienced by the worker in my bathroom but I would much rather sightsee and gamble. I think hotel maintenance needs to complete random or quarterly operational checks on their guest rooms to prevent situations like this, not just the hilton but also all hotels. Overall I recommend this hotel, just do not forget your rubber ducky for bath time.
